Call for Artists
Theme: International Cityscapes
On View: September 1 - October 1, 2017
This show will feature artworks that celebrate the ordinary and astounding beauty of the California coast, from the deep water to the bluffs. Show us your local wildlife scenes and your coastal towns.
CAL member, Barbara Masek is a longtime Coastside resident, and past president of the San Mateo Camera Club. Since retiring from the textbook publishing business, she has worked as a commercial photographer. In her leisure time, she manages a women's photography group. Coastal Arts League Gallery, Zaballa Square, 300 Main St. Half Moon Bay, CA, in a ground floor gallery. The exhibition gallery is 535 square feet, with north-facing windows.
Displayable media categories are:
Poetry, sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, ceramics, collage, assemblage, mixed media, and fiber art. The art must be able to hang on the wall or occupy a 15” square pedestal.

• Notification of Acceptance: August 14, 2017
• Artwork in-take: August 28, Noon to 5:00pm
• Exhibition on view: September 1 to October 1, 2017 (5 weekends)
• Reception: September 2, 2017, 2:00 - 4:00pm
• Artwork pick-up: October 2, 2017

Digitally upload one or more images of your work. Submissions are open to visual artists working in all media. Artworks may be two-dimensional or three, and of any material. You may submit more than one image of each piece.
Send an email to Caljuriedshow@gmail.com, with the following information: Artist’s name, address, website, email address, and phone number. Attach images of the work with the title, medium, size, and price of each piece.
Entry fees must be received before closing, in order for your entries to be considered. $40.00 for the first piece, $10 for each additional piece. Members of the Coastal Arts League receive a discount of $10 on the first entry. You can donate your entry fees using the Donate button below, or send a check to Coastal Arts League, 300 Main St. Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.
Using PayPal is the most secure way to send funds via the internet. Once you have created an account, you will never be asked for your personal information again, and the Coastal Arts League pays the transaction fee.

By entering you are verifying the submitted work is yours, that you have the rights to the images or artwork.
You are granting The Coastal Arts League (CAL) the right to use entered work for the website, printed lists of selected images, and for future show promotions. All Rights to submitted Images remain the property of the Artist.
CAL retains a 30% commission on work sold, and collects sales tax. All proceeds support exhibitions, operations, and educational programming of the Coastal Arts League.
The Coastal Arts League accepts no responsibility for pieces in the show. It is the responsibility of the artist to provide his or her own insurance, if the artist feels it is required.
CAL promotes all shows through announcements to CAL members, photography clubs, art centers and associations, and throughout the region. Entrants are not responsible for show promotion. However, it is recommended each entrant let family, friends and colleagues know about the show and reception.
