Paul Rubas was born in the Czech Republic. Attended Rutgers University majoring in languages and literature. He is a self-taught artist who resides in Belmont. His sculptures and furniture are made from recycled and reshaped materials, including metals, various woods and stone.
" I consider art to be a form of language that aims to express inner and outer conflicts. Hand and brain cooperation in the present moment eliminating verbal filters is the objective. Strong influence comes from my childhood, immigration, extensive travels and meeting people who are trying to make sense of our ever increasing fragmentation."
