Cheryl Costella, oil painter

My oil paintings are done in the old masters style, in the sense that I paint in may layers. Lighthouses, landscapes, still life, flowers, and sea life are among my subjects. Although I start from a photo, I use artistic license to make the composition more interesting. Whether representational or surreal, I use vibrant colors to interest and calm the viewer.
