The Peninsula Camera Club (PCC) is proud to announce that 14 photographers, including six from the coast, will be showcasing their work as part of the PCC Photography Exhibition at the Coastal Arts League, 300 Main St. Half Moon Bay.
Coastside Artists Tessa Burt, Linda Rutherford, John Williams, Melissa Brookmire, Barbara Masek, and Marie Susa, with Peninsula members Jay Bergman, Nik Favretto, Bruce Finocchio, Sonny Mencher, James Miglian, Jennifer O’Donnell, Sandy Patane, and Ben Wang will feature a wide variety of creative imagery from wildlife to architecture.
For Melissa Brookmire, each image has its own personality and evokes different emotions. It may not be clear what you are looking at, but that’s okay. Study the images to see if one or more “speaks” to you.
“As a member of the Peninsula Camera Club, I am thrilled to be able to showcase my work in downtown Half Moon Bay at the Coastal Arts League Gallery. It’s a great opportunity to share a selection of my bird and coastal landscape photos in my very first exhibition.” ~Tessa Burt
The Peninsula Camera Club is a member of the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs and is associated with the Photographic Society of America. Founded in 1950, PCC is the oldest camera club in the Bay Area.
Bruce Finocchio is a professional wildlife photographer. His credentials include being a member of the North America Nature Photographer Association (NANPA), the Photography Society of America (PSA), and the Professional Photographer’s Association (PPA).
Bruce loves sharing what he knows with others and helping them on their journey to becoming better photographers. He has 30 years of experience since joining the Peninsula Camera Club in 1992. He’s also an expert in evaluating images, having been an N4C judge in Northern California for over fifteen years. The club offers members from the Peninsula and Coastal areas an opportunity to meet other photographers, have their images critiqued by specially trained judges, attend educational classes, and participate in photographic field trips. These activities provide photographers of all levels to learn new skills. More information on PCC can be found at www.peninsulacameraclub.com

To get the perfect photo, Nik Favretto is willing to climb mountains, use ropes to get to a beach at the bottom of the cliff, stand on a small rock while huge ocean waves are crushing just a few feet away, or hike for miles and miles in the middle of the night to get to the perfect sunrise spot.
Belonging to the Peninsula Camera Club is an outlet for me to meet other photographers, share my photography, and be part of a group of people that share my interest in photography.” – Marie Susa
Recently I read an article by Peter Baumgarten, Natural Abstracts in Photography, and started looking for them. It got me trying to find the picture within the picture within the picture. ~Sonny Mencher
I am drawn to black and white. It is an abstraction that engages the viewer’s attention and emotions. I invite you to experience the fascination, mystery, and delight of discovery in these pictures. ~Jay Bergman
